ARTICLE #8: FEES AND PERFORMANCE BOND

8.1: FEES AND PERFORMANCE BOND

The annual YSMHL team entry fee for teams from each centre will be determined by a bylaw.
Upon joining the league a centre shall present a cheque to YSMHL to the value of $500.00 as a guarantee to the YSMHL. This bond money is refunded (less any outstanding fees or fines) upon written request by the association’s Secretary on letterhead and signed by the President.
If a centre has not paid money due then funds are to be taken out of the bond money. Centres cannot play in the next season until their bond money is restored. (Adopted March 4, 2000)
Any Association or organization that is a member of the YSMHL, may apply for damages by another member’s failure to fulfill their obligations. An application for such MUST be addressed to the YSMHL, through the Secretary and MUST be received within fourteen(14) days of the incident. The original letter to the Secretary must be copied and sent to the offending member and so noted. This will allow the offending member to send a rebuttal to the YSMHL Secretary, if they wish. In the case of a missed scheduled game request for funds will only include 1/2 the ice cost, cost of officials, cost of timekeeper(s) and the cost of a gate person. This process only takes place when the centres cannot co-operate and solve the missed game.
All payments of such damages will be made at the discretion of the YSMHL Executives.
Any Association or organization losing its Bond, or any part thereof, during the season must renew their bond for the balance of the season.
